Thats exactly what I was asking myself in October, I'm a true believer of God and I believe he works through people in mysterious ways. I guess that explains why I have done so many random things in my life, including packing all my belongings in my hometown of Newport News, VA and moving all the way down south to Houston, TX. And trust me, after 4 years of living down here, I still get alot of questions asked about that decision....LOL. Anyway, it was October 1st, 2008(only 5 months to now) I woke up that morning with another random urge. After cleaning myself up, I hopped in the car and drove straight to Best Buy. Usually I would go out for some breakfast first, but for some reason I had a different type of hunger. It was a hunger for art, creativity, expression and true talent. Oooook? So what does Best Buy have to do with this??? Well, at this time I was an aspired music artist, so my intentions were to buy something related to just that. Usually i would just purchase a CD for some inspiration to write more songs; But ever since Youtube came out, I always wanted to make video blogs to promote my music. So the first area I went to was the camera/camcorder section. Now I only had like $200 on me, so a camcorder was out of the question...LOL. So I ended up purchasing one of those Kodak EASYSHARE cameras for like $120. One the employees told me that the camera will record videos up to 15 minutes. Thats pretty much all I needed. Anyway, when I got home I had to charge the battery. So while Im waiting on, I go on myspace to burn time...LOL. When I logged on I went to Jay-z's page to see if he was really dropping a Blueprint 3 album, which I ended up with no info.... smh. I listened to some of his songs then I clicked on his pics, thats when I saw a photo that really caught my eye at the time. It was him looking in the mirror with a whole bunch of jewelry on his sink. It looked liked this:
What made this photo so hot was the black and white effect on it. It gave a dramatic feel to it. If only I could have photos like this! Wait a minute.........is my camera finished charging???? Yes it is!! Sooo, you already should know what happens next...LOL. I already had a tripod from back in the day. I went straight to the bathroom, attached the camera to the tripod and ended up with my first photo taken from my Kodak! It wasnt like Jay's, but it was a start:

LOL!
From that day on, I wanted to be a photographer and become better at using cameras..... and from this day I "Thank God for Photography!"
I hope everyone enjoys everything I present on this blog.... I have a lot of exciting moments that I will be sharing with yall, so stay tuned! Peace and God Bless!!
